Augusta National Golf Club revealed plans for significant enhancements to the Augusta Municipal Golf Course and on-site facilities. The project, set to begin in January 2025, involves renowned course architects Tom Fazio and Beau Welling and aims to provide affordable access to golf while nurturing future leaders in the sport.

The Augusta Municipal Golf Course, affectionately known as “The Patch,” will undergo a transformation to offer improved amenities and playing experiences. Community input sessions will play a vital role in shaping the project, with the goal of opening the renovated course by April 2026. The initiative aligns with Augusta National’s commitment to promoting golf accessibility and supporting programs like The First Tee.

Additionally, Augusta National will enhance on-site facilities for Masters competitors in two phases. The first phase includes the construction of underground parking, set to be operational for the 2025 Masters. The second phase, scheduled for completion in 2026, will introduce a state-of-the-art facility catering to the needs of players, their families, and support teams.

These developments signify Augusta National’s dedication to enriching the golfing experience for players and the local community alike. Further details regarding the on-site facilities will be unveiled at the 2025 Masters tournament.
