The vintage IGU Eastern India Amateur Golf Championship kicks off at RCGC

The Eastern India Amateur Golf Championship, which is one of the world's oldest golf tournaments dating back to 1890 gets underway at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club. The event was introduced by the Royal Calcutta Golf Club and was later conducted by The Indian Golf Union from the mid 1960's. 

In the Quarterfinals Rohan Dhole Patil gets a walkover from Anant S Ahlawat, Amit Kumar beat Hemant Yadav by 1 up, Anirudh K got the better of Akhay Neeranjan with a score of 6&5, Aaron Rocky got a win over Kunal Naidu with a 2&1 score. Girraj Singh Khadka wins the tie with a 1 up score against Vinay Kumar Yadav

In the next of quarterfinals, Gagan Vinod won the battle against Manish Thakran with a 3&2 score. In the next tie Mohan A tasted victory over Jaiveer at the 19th hole after they finished on level terms through 18 holes. Basavaraju GN beat Shravan Desai with a 5&4 score.
