Patna, April 27, 2024: Today marked the commencement of fourth leg of the IGU East Zone Feeder Tour 2024, the Patna Masters, at the esteemed Patna Golf Club. Local heroes Sahil Kumar Singh and Vijay Kumar surged to the forefront, clinching a joint lead after round one with a remarkable two-over-par 73 each. Notably, they also asserted their dominance in the Mid Amateur category, showcasing their mastery over the course, followed by Kanhai Prasad (79).

In the Senior and Super Senior categories, it was SC Singh from Patna who secured the top positions after round one with an impressive score of eight-over-par 79. Following closely behind was BV Srihari Rao from Rajahmundry, maintaining a strong presence with a score of fourteen over par.

Meanwhile, in the junior division, Kolkata’s Dishan Ghosh emerged as the frontrunner after round one in the A&B Boys division, exhibiting exceptional talent with a score of 81. Aarav Tantia claimed the second spot with a score of 106. Among the C Boys category, Vivaan Jawanpuria showcased his skills by taking the lead with a score of 88, while Dhruv Patodia led the D Boys category with a score of 100.

In the A Girls division, Shristi Rani from Jamalpur showcased a stellar performance, leading after day one with a score of 80,  followed by Patna’s Bhavya Keshri with a score of 99. Meanwhile, in the D Girls category, Siliguri’s Amaira Gulati surged ahead with a commanding lead, shooting thirteen over par 84. Hissi Besra from Ranchi secured the second spot with a score of 118. Novika Kakkar from Ranchi took the lead in the E Girls category with an impressive score of 50.

The Patna Masters and Patna Junior Masters have set the stage for an exhilarating display of golfing talent, with local favorites and promising young players showcasing their skills and vying for top honors. As the tournament progresses, spectators eagerly anticipate witnessing more thrilling moments on the greens of the Patna Golf Club.
