The Tollygunge Club saw an impressive display of junior golf talent as the second leg of the IGU East Zone Junior Feeder Tour 2024, Tolly Classic 2024, began today, March 3rd. With over 50 juniors vying for victory across eight different categories, the competition was intense from the outset. Varish Mohta took the lead in both the A&B Boys categories by shooting three-over-par 73 in the first round. Ahaan Gupta follows closely behind with a score of 74, trailing by just one stroke. In the B Boys category, Rayan Sao claimed the second spot after the first round, scoring 83. Among the C Boys, Adityajit Gupta and Arkaprovo Chaudhury are tied for the lead with scores of 86 each. Krishiv Rungta is just one stroke behind with a score of 87. In the Girls’ categories, Ananya Roy claimed the top spot in the A&B category with a score of 84, while Nahida Parvin leads in the C&D category with 83. Amaira Gulati leads the D Girls category with a score of 95, closely followed by Hissi Besra with 100. Ahana Khaitan dominates the E Girls category with a score of 53, with Novika Kakkar following closely behind with 55. Aativeer Jain leads in the F category with a score of 58, while Jayansh Lakhotia tops the overall F category after the first day of competition with a score of 50.

The Tolly Classic 2024 continues tomorrow, March 4th, with the second round promising even more thrilling action as these young golfers vie for victory on the challenging course at the Tollygunge Club. The tour’s education partner is The Champ for Life Academy. The outdoor media partner is Balaji Ads, and the online proshop partner is Golfedge.
